Applied Fisheries Science in the Okanogan River Basin

  • In this symposium, we will discuss factors limiting anadromous fish populations and threats to their recovery; explore what actions are being taken to reverse declines in survival, and present current research, monitoring, and evaluation projects along with new ways in which information is being made available. We will also discuss the present challenges and success stories of transboundary water management practices and cooperation between county, state, federal, private, and tribal entities. The ongoing cooperation and timely action of all stakeholders is paramount to balancing water use in the basin and recovering declining stocks of anadromous fish to ensure their continuance for future generations.
